Winter Walden is excited to announce two new programs for the 2005-2006 season!

Introducing:

As the name implies, Project Discovery is focused on exploration.  Students in this program will ski with an instructor all day, but that is where the similarities to a "normal" Winter Walden day end.  In this special group, there is no lesson plan.  There are no "exercises" for the students.  Instead, our instructors will act as guides, leading the students on a journey where they pick the tasks and subject matter.

Students will be allowed to select what types of terrain to ski on, and what areas they would like to work on.  Our instructors are skilled in offering small suggestions and ideas to stimulate the growth and assist in building the skills of our students.

Students will not be locked into Project Discovery.  This is a voluntary program that will allow students the opportunity to receive a different perspective.  Any student level Mt. Tremblant or up can elect to participate in Project Discovery on any given Saturday or Sunday trip.

Because of the nature of this group, students in Project Discovery will not earn patches.  When a student feels ready to earn a new patch, they will be encouraged to return to regular lessons.

Also new at Winter Walden this season:

Winter Walden is proud to announce our new racing academy.  Every Saturday and Sunday our staff will be leading a racing program for all students to enjoy.
